- Greater
London Gardens; London section from gardenvisit.com. Brief
details of historic gardens, this is most useful for landscape
design and history information. Includes a map.
- ParkExplorer;
An unfinished project to list and provide detail on all parks in
London. Has coverage of Enfield, Greenwich, Newham, and
Wandsworth, with brief details on most parks in these
boroughs.
- Your London -
Parks and open spaces; Searchable GLA database of all
significant parks in London. Sketchy description of each, also
with lists of facilities and transport.
Managing bodies
Managing bodies for each park are briefly described on each
park's page. A web link is provided in the left hand column on
the page. The majority of these bodies are councils. There are a
few parks and open spaces that are managed by trusts or other
bodies.
Other websites
- GreenSTAT; A
national website to gather user comments and feedback about parks
and public open space. The information can be anonymous if
desired. The information is then fed back to the managing
organisation.
- GreenSpace;
Describes itself as "A registered charity which works to improve
parks and green spaces by raising awareness, involving
communities and creating skilled professionals."
- London Parks and
Gardens Trust; Promotes education, conservation, and
enhancement of historic parks, gardens, and squares. Has a list
of significant gardens, with articles on many of them.
- London Parks
and Green Spaces Forum; Aimed primarily at professionals, but
also works to increase the political and social visibility of
parks.
